To port in / transfer your existing number, ensure

- it is registered to your ID
- there are no outstanding bills or contracts with your ex-telco
- do not cancel your line with your ex-telco. We will handle the porting process for you.

Note: We do not support corporate sign ups or port-ins at this juncture

Here's how the port-in / transfer process works
- When you choose to transfer your existing number from another telco and port in to giga, a temporary giga number will first be assigned and delivered to you
- Upon receiving the giga SIM card, your port in request will be processed within 1-3 working days
- Once port-in is approved, you will receive a confirmation email and your temporary giga number will be automatically changed to your existing number from your ex-telco.
- Remember not to cancel your line with your ex-telco. We will handle the porting process for you.

And you're good to go!
Can I port-in if my existing number is still within contract with another telco?
We recommend that you port over when your existing number is no longer within a contract with your current telco.

Although you can port-in/transfer your number while you're still within a contract with another telco, early termination charges will be imposed by your current telco.

It's your responsibility to find out if you're liable to pay any charges with your current telco, and we recommend that you do this before you request for port-in.

Do note that once you have submitted a port-in request, it cannot be cancelled.

My port-in request failed. What do I do now?
To find out the reason for unsuccessful port-in, do check with your current telco for details.

For port-in to be successful, ensure that
- it is an active postpaid number (prepaid numbers are not supported)
- it is registered to the same name and ID type you're registering with giga. For example, if you had used your NRIC to register with your ex-telco, do use the same NRIC number to sign up with giga, and not another ID type such as your Passport.
- there are no outstanding bills or contracts with your current telco
- do not cancel your line with your ex-telco. We will handle the porting process for you.

Note : We do not yet support corporate sign ups or port-ins at this point.

Once you have rectified the issue for failed port-in, simply launch the giga app and retrigger the port-in process via Mega Menu > Port-In to giga.
