Once you have purchased a new line with an eSIM or requested a swap from your existing physical SIM card to an eSIM, you will see the installation instructions immediately in the giga app. These instructions will also be emailed to you for reference.
You will be prompted to activate your new eSIM first before installing the new eSIM on your device. By activating, your giga service will be immediately switched to the new eSIM, so you'll get service right upon installation to your device!
Before you start installation, ensure that you have a stable internet connection to avoid any installation errors (we recommend connecting to a secure Wifi network).
The installation methods for Android devices can be found in our giga app upon successful purchase, or via email:
- QR code: Save the QR code provided, then go to your device's eSIM settings to scan the QR. Follow your device's onscreen instructions to install the eSIM.
- Manual installation: From your device eSIM settings, enter the activation code details found in the giga app / email. Follow your device's onscreen instructions to install the eSIM.
